NEW Last Day of School

May 26, 2023 - As the end of May approaches, Stony Plain Central School has an important update to share. In light of the imminent changes, the school administration has made the decision to revise the school year calendar. Consequently, the last day of classes at Stony Plain Central School will now take place on Wednesday, June 28th, rather than the initially scheduled Thursday, June 29th.

With the continued delays in the availability of Westview School to our Division, this will allow SPC staff an extra transition day to pack up and prepare for the pending move to Westview School.

Rest assured, even with a reduction of a day, SPC will exceed the instructional hours mandated by Alberta’s Education Act, affording the flexibility to make this adjustment to the school calendar.

With this news being shared well in advance, families are encouraged to make the necessary adjustments to their schedules accordingly. Students can enjoy an extra day of summer vacation. The anticipation is high, and the staff eagerly awaits the students' return in the upcoming Fall at Westview School!
